East Riding Archives

The archives conserve and store documents, artefacts and digitised records relating to the East Riding of Yorkshire. From photos of old businesses to marriage certificates through the centuries, the archives hold a vast treasure of local knowledge which can be accessed by the public for research and interest. East Riding Archives has an Accredited Archives Service.

Get fit with East Riding Leisure. Become a member and access sports facilities at 10 locations across the East Riding, including swimming pools, modern gyms and a range of group exercise classes. Local clubs and activities also take place at most centres, exercise referral groups to improve your health with professional help and free health services available exclusively to members.

East Riding Libraries

The library service is much more than books. With free membership, you can download eMagazines and access subscription websites, get online with our computers and Wi-Fi and take part in a range of social groups and reading clubs to suit your interests.

East Riding Museums

The council manages five museums and an art gallery. Our expert team research and prepare social history exhibitions throughout the year. They also organise travelling exhibitions, from national organisations like Victoria and Albert Museums and Natural History Museum.
